Noise for self defense

If  you are attacked you should always create a noise.  Robbers always try to intimidate their victims, hoping they will keep quiet and not file a police complaint, so that they can continue robbing others.  A similar modus operandi has been adopted  by certain big companies to prevent publication of  facts.

Proxy for

On further research, it is possible that the so called “business owner”, mentioned in the earlier post  is a proxy for some one else.  For the sake of legal formalities, she may be the owner, but all the decisions are probably taken by some one else.

Eliminating noise

One of the key things in running a business , is to eliminate the noise or false claims. Yesterday  I read a post at a  popular website (which was also published in a newspaper) about how some one was running a business and claiming a turnover of  several hundreds of thousands of dollars. This was because of “social networking” skills. But the Linkedin profile of  the individual still showed that she was an employee of a company and did not even list the name of  her own business.

Obviously, it appears that some one is being economical with the truth.  So in future whatever is written about her and by the author of the article will  be taken with a pinch of salt by me.  That is why credibility is so important.

Stolen ideas

Unlike other  industries, where significant investments are required, in the internet space, ideas can easily be stolen and implemented by some one else spying on you.  So it is important to keep your mouth shut .

Crowd and help

If you make a noise at a deserted place, no one will hear you.  In a crowded place, if you are in danger and make a noise,  at least some people will come to your help.

Criminals and noise

Most criminals carry out their illegal acts because  they think that they can get away with it.  If they realise that they are likely to get caught,  they run away as fast as they can.  So if you are troubled by a criminal and have nothing to hide,  make a loud noise, they will stop troubling you for some time at least.

Getting a response

Most customers will try to get response the conventional way.  They will try to contact customer support or the concerned person by phone or by email.  If they do not get any response or are not satisfied by the response they get, they will  use other methods like posting on forums and blogs.
